Rebranding a premium steakhouse after a renovation to reclaim and grow customer base.

New Signage for Carver's Steakhouse

Carver’s Steakhouse

The Challenge

After a couple of decades of being a leading, established steakhouse in Saskatoon & Calgary, Carver’s was due for a refresh – both the branding, as well as the physical space. This would require being closed for a few months impacting revenue, as well as risking the routine and regular reoccurring business.

The Solution

Carver’s Steakhouse is a new classic with a modern flavour. Offering exceptional steaks and wines in a stylish, upbeat room, Carver’s truly is a steakhouse for today.

All communication and branding had to promise Carver’s patrons that they’d enjoy the comforts and accoutrements of an established steakhouse while the design, presentation, and ambiance had to reflect a reinvigorated style.

With both premium locations set within hotels, guests were identified into two groups: hotel guests on business who are looking to build their business relationships over a quality dining experience, and nearby residents who want a special evening out – one where they are treated exceptionally well and enjoyed exquisitely prepared meals. Materials were created and targeted to these two groups, and regular patrons were invited to an exclusive reopening event.

The Results

Within weeks of reopening, weekly revenue was back to where it was prior to the renovation and growing steadily. Regular guests continue to return while new, younger patrons are continually discovering Carver’s.
