Digitally driven community recruitment.
The Challenge
Growth of The Port of Prince Rupert and supporting businesses led to an influx of investment and business within the city, however, the demand for local workers began to exceed supply. The community needed to attract young adults from across BC and neighbouring provinces to live and work in Prince Rupert.

The Solution
Our strategy was to highlight and communicate the many benefits of living and working in Prince Rupert and position the city as a place where you could find exactly what you’re looking for.
After extensive consultations with local business leaders, Indigenous liaisons, and residents, we developed a robust digital marketing campaign consisting of video, social media, and display advertising, as well search engine marketing. In addition, we created a website as a resource for those considering a move to Prince Rupert, which was full of information about local amenities, services, organizations, and landmarks alongside a jobs board and housing information.
The Results
Despite being launched during a pandemic, the campaign delivered almost 10 million impressions across all platforms and over 100,000 website sessions. Over 700 people signed up to receive ongoing updates through our newsletter and over 15,000 people visited the custom-built jobs board. The brand spots, which appeared on high-profile websites, including CBC, CTV, Global News, and the New York Post, saw view rates of over 60%.
