Hymn of St. Bernadine - Play

The Goal

To celebrate Shaw’s support for Canadian athletes and fundraising to help our Canadian athletes reach the podium in 2010, St. Bernadine was charged with the task of creating an identity system that would encompass all of Shaw’s efforts.

The Challenge

Extremely tight deadlines put a lot of pressure on the design and due to the high visibility during the Olympics, we wanted to ensure it was done right.

The Solution

The “Powering Canadian Athletes” identity integrated all of Shaw’s Olympic-related activities and gave them a platform to talk about their aspirations with both internal and external audiences.

Pieces created ranged from internal posters, stationery, trading pins, temporary tattoos and apparel. The Powering Canadian Athletes program reached its peak during the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver at the Shaw Hospitality suite, where St. Bernadine worked with Shaw’s interior designers to integrate large-format wall graphics and way-finding signage into the suite and lobby at Shaw Tower.

St. Bernadine was also on hand to ensure the Powering Canadian Athletes branding integrated into all aspects of the suite from signage and volunteer uniforms to access passes and name tags.

Pleased with the reception and results of the project, Shaw is continuing the program beyond the 2010 Olympic Games to support both winter and summer athletes.
